Springfield, Missouri - Hudson Potts crushed a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to propel the Sod Poodles to a 4-2 win at Hammons Field against the Springfield Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon. With the ballgame tied 2-2 in the ninth, Luis Torrens lined a single up the middle for his third hit of the game. Erie Tosses Third No-Hitter in Franchise History, Takes Series from Bowie 4-0

ERIE, PA - On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, the Erie SeaWolves pitching staff combined for the third no-hitter in franchise history, as starter Alex Faedo and reliever Drew Carlton combined to blank the Bowie Baysox, at UPMC Park, 4-0. The previous two no-hitters were thrown by Thad Weber on August 22, 2009 and Elvin Hernandez in 1995.
