March 21, 2019 - The Memphis Express made headlines when they signed former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel this past week. The San Antonio Commanders held his territorial rights but opted not to sign him. Memphis, at 1-5, had the worst record in the Alliance of American Football giving them the next shot to sign him. "We're a league of opportunity, so we're looking for players in need of opportunity and giving them a path back to the NFL," The Alliance co-founder and CEO Charlie Ebersol said on ESPN's Outside The Lines ... March 20, 2019 - SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Alliance of American Football announced today that the 2019 Alliance Championship will be played in Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Salt Lake Stallions DE Karter Schult Named AAF Defensive Player of the Week

March 20, 2019 - Salt Lake Stallions defensive end Karter Schult was named AAF Defensive Player of the Week, the Alliance of American Football league office announced on Tuesday. Schult tallied five total tackles, two sacks and four QB hits in the Stallions' 22-9 victory last week against the Memphis Express. The accolade is the first of Schult's Alliance career.
