John Edwardh Reassigned to Binghamton Devils

December 17, 2018 - GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that forward John Edwardh has been reassigned to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Devils. Edwardh, 23, earns his first recall to the AHL this season after signing an American League contract with the Devils this summer. In 19 games played for the Thunder, the former UMass-Lowell Riverhawk has potted seven goals and added eight assists for fifteen total points, which places Edwardh fifth on the Thunder's leading ... Thunder Falter Late on Teddy Bear Toss Night

December 15, 2018 - GLENS FALLS, NY - Mike Szmatula scored his 11th goal of the season but the Thunder could only come up with one point in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Manchester Monarchs Saturday night at Cool Insuring Arena. Szmatula scored the game's only goal of the first 55-plus minutes to let the teddy bears rain down on the ice midway through the first period. Final - Thunder Come up Empty in 5-2 Loss to Mariners

December 14, 2018 - PORTLAND, ME - The Adirondack Thunder turned a 3-0 deficit into a 3-2 game, but that's as close as they would get as they dropped Friday night's tilt to the Maine Mariners 5-2 at Cross Insurance Arena. Maine jumped out to a 3-0 lead just 5:34 into the game with goals from Ryan Gropp, Alex Kile and Drew Melanson. Gropp scored 81 seconds into the game when he fired a bad-angle shot from the bottom of the left circle up and over Alex Sakellaropoulos' right shoulder for a 1-0 Mariners lead. Brian Ward Recalled to AHL's Binghamton Devils

December 12, 2018 - Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that forward Brian Ward has been recalled from his loan to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Devils. Ward, 26, is set to make his 2018-2019 AHL debut after skating in 19 games for the Thunder thus far. With Adirondack, the 6-foot-1 center has put up nine points (5g-4a), 51 PIM and a plus-four rating to start the season.
