PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets defeated the Dunedin Blue Jays 6-3 on Tuesday at Clover Park to win their first Florida State League championship since 2006.
The Mets completed the two-game sweep over the Blue Jays and went 4-0 in the postseason after having the best record in the FSL regular season (73-56).
It's the sixth FSL title for the Mets. They previously won the league in 1988, 1996, 1998, 2003 and 2006...
