SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes defeated the Portland Timbers 3-2 on Wednesday night at PayPal Park. It marked San Jose's first win over Portland since April 6, 2019, snapping a seven-match winless streak in the series (0-5-2). The Quakes are now 5-1-1 in all competitions (3-1-1 in MLS play) under interim head coach Alex Covelo.
